Hi Owen - What you described here "One of the most recent methods of attacking cancer is to try to stop the body from forming those blood vessels. It is called anti angiogenesis. There is some progress on this." is the clinical trial my Mom went through @ MD Anderson's. Long story made short - it worked on her but it was pretty rough on her (83 years old) She had three more really good years after discontnuing the trial.

Your mom was lucky to get into a trial. Only about 25% of people over 65 get in, even though 68% that have cancer are over 65.

I know that you cherished that extra three years.

Three years at 83 is damn good. Well done.

I think it may be out of clinical trials and is a mainstream treatment for at least some cancers now. Not sure if it's out yet.
