First of all, Fred put himself through college and worked long and hard to get to where he is today.
Second, we have TOO MANY BUSYBODIES trying to make a record for themselves in the Senate. Fred's record is distinguished by his restraint, not his activism - and his lifetime ratings by various CONSERVATIVE groups bears that out.
Compare that to Rudy, who was QUITE activist - at taking guns away.

I know that Thompson and his law firm defended a family of bid riggers from Mississippi and the family and Thompson got pretty close. Close enough that when the same family started to launder the money from the Marty Frankel embezzlement, Thompson got a lot of money from that family for his Senate run..I am suspicious because of that connection or maybe I am too close to the issue. I think that Hunter would be a better choice because of Thompson's links to the Mississippi "crime" family but then again, I am too close to the people. I have been attacked for what I know but no one has taken any measures to see if I am telling the truth. The links between the Senate Pro Tempore of the Ms Legislature and Thompson are closer than one thinks. I would like this to be a non issue but if some anti Thompson makes it an issue, it will stick.
