...GWB was the anti-GOP with his chief cherub, Rove

Let's not get carried away here. GWB has been very good on taxes, he's appointed two good U.S. Supreme Court justices, he has boosted military spending and pay, he has continued and expanded ballistic missile defense, etc. GWB, despite his faults, has been far better that any Democrat who has even run for President in over forty years would have been.

The socialists and jihadis live to undermine American confidence. Don't help them.

I agree. GW has been a disappointment on Illegal Immigration and spending but he's still a far cry better than any Dem, with the exception of Zell Miller.

"Let's not get carried away here. GWB has been very good on taxes, he's appointed two good U.S. Supreme Court justices, "...

Yup, and he has destroyed the country with illegal immigration, diluted our votes in doing so, his open border policies causes us yet more unnecessary taxes at the local and Federal level paying for their Social services, was stubborn in staying the course instead of a surge when it was previously warranted, carried on with "open trade" and open borders treating people as commodities, special work visas to lower the wages of Americans by importing foreigners, placed the government in the roll of "employment office", failed to get rid of the Dept. of Education and several other agencies or programs of little or no value, insulted Americans by saying that there are jobs Americans won't do (try ending welfare and we have enough potential workers) etc. etc. ... Well maybe one more - look through this site and check out the number of posters (Conservatives) that have cried out for years about GWBs silence and inability to usually (he has said a few, very few)stand up to the Democrats and steps in it each and every time when there was no need to do so in the first place - present example being Gonzo.

Remember, you started it; I am holding back. Let's stick to the matter at hand. GWB is now history and will accomplish little if any thing. The Dems hopefully will self destruct. BTW, I am a Conservative as opposed to a Republican. I will vote for a Conservative and not a RINO.

Bush does have faults of course but one that bothered me the most is that he seemed to do all he can to keep from having to fight in the trenches where a lot of the left wing dirty work is played. We need a guy that isn’t “too good” to get down and dirty when the need arises.

I don’t know Thompson on anything but what I see of him on screen. I don’t want the two to be confused but still, we need someone that will cut through all the horse crap and get directly to the point, someone that knows from right and wrong and base his decisions on that.

I like GW Bush, I voted for him both times but still, he let things happen that I think he could have stopped before they got started. The Democrats have gotten away with too much BS over the past few years and we need someone to show them the light. GW Bush is too much of a nice guy, too nice of a guy to deal with that filth the Democrats have elected in their own party. We need someone that can cut through all that filth and get the country back on track.

I have a feeling down deep that there are elements within our intelligence agencies, the CIA in particular that have been not only just undermining this administration but to actually take part in trying to over throw this freely elected government of this country, and yes, I think the Wilsons are very much a part of that attempt.

In my view, we have had way too much leaks to the press by those so called “intelligence agencies” and "government officials" that had no right to do so and should have been stopped the very first thing. And I am not talking about outing of any desk jockey either. I am talking about our classified intelligence programs being published in the press. That horse crap should have stopped the first thing and heads should have rolled but nothing happened.

So, if Fred Thompson is that guy, then that is whom I would be for as well. I just don’t know enough about him, who he really is to be really know but, like I said, what I see on the big screen, the guy he plays in them is the guy I think could do the job.

What faults?
