This is another earthquake, different and larger than the quake off of Honshu, Japan.
More information on the way...
It's Bush's fault
There is no assessment yet made, no one attributes earthquakes to Bush or Global Warming and a dear friend of mine lives there. Congratulations, you must be proud. You pissed off a complete stranger over the internet for your ignorant remarks.
No kidding, the Loma Prieta was a 7.1 for a point of reference (that was the '89 San Fran quake for all of you who weren't there and don't have that permanently branded into your memory)
I hope all is well with your friend,
Vanuatu is due north of New Zealand.
It was sarcasm. Everything that has happened the last 6 years has been blamed by the true ignorants and enemies on the president and/or global warning. Someone has to post and get it out of the way:') Prayers for your friend.
He probably is. Colby is a tough ole bastard (he's a barrister to boot) but I still have some worry. I've known the man for 9+ years and he's my favorite Aussie. He lived in Darwin for a while then moved to Vanuatu. His internet connection was never better than dialup, so there may be some time before I hear. Still though, I worry.
With all this activity, I had to go check out the MSM... Fox had some hollywood story on - TV off.
THAILAND?
I understand what you're saying. I'm guilty of it too. The "bush's fault" thing however is about mostly trivial BS.
This is about real people and life or death. I'm concerned for my friend. He is probably just fine, but that quake is a whopper.
What about Thailand? I've been there. You?
The 2004 NBC mini series "10.5" layed the blame for the major earthquake as man made activity.
Another thread going about a 6.8 on the western coast of Japan.
He meant it as a joke.
global warming
I was looking at a map one day and noticed we had a lot of little quakes in Texas. I followed the code. "man made"
According to IRIS, a 6.2 hit just off Honshu Japan just 2 minutes later.

I thought the Japan one hit first.
Not according to my link above
Understand, I'm not a newb to FR. I get that.
It pisses me the eff off when it's not appropriate. In this case, it's not. It's not funny or appropriate when real people are probably dying.
