if you compare the distance between the right and left side streetlights to the density of people appearing between them, you have to think that this street is perhaps 6 or 8 lanes wide.....I don't think so....
You can see grass at the bottom of the frame. You can see the distorted perspective of a long lens. Look at the woman in the blue jacket, wearing a white headband. She is just to the left of the yellow sign in the foreground. Look at the size of her head. Now look at the guy wearing the yellow and black jacket behind her. Look at the guy wearing a gray jacket with white sleeves and collar, and the guy wearing a gray fleece behind him. These people are all some distance apart from each other, each further back than the next. You can see the people between them, but their heads appear the same size. This is what a zoom lens does.
Also, if they were going to chop it, the guy in the foreground has one of those 911 was an inside job signs. It's above the yellow sign at the bottom of the frame, blue lettering on white. They'd disappear him.
