Hi Jonny. Hope you're still around. I happily take responsibility for the question mark. You know how us denizens of LaLaLand are. ;-)

We're the state that sent Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Henry Waxman, Maxine Waters, and a host of other bizzarro congresscritters to DC. We also keep recycling Governor Moonbeam. He used to date Linda Ronstadt. Then he became Mayor of Oakland after he left the governorship. Whereupon crime in Oakland rose some astronomical percent. So, of course, we elected him our new state Attorney General.

Therefore, the question mark is replacing the bear as our state symbol. And our new state motto is...
