In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it. “… [this bill] has no chance of becoming law.” Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Iraq Provincial Reconstruction Team at the State Department.

Press Secretary Tony Snow made an announcement about his health at the end of today’s press briefing. (Transcript)

On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)

President Bush was also joined in the White House today by Archbishop Demetrios for the proclamation of March 25, 2007 as National Greek Independence Day, “A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy”. (Transcript)

Just not people like us.

There are many of us who respected and admired Reagan and respect and admire President Bush in the same way............only maybe moreso cause he's cuter. ;)

Have you seen the cover of this week's Time Magazine? There is a picture of Ronald Reagan with a tear running down his cheek and the title is something like "What has happened to the right?" So here we have the ardent leftists touting Reagan to bash Bush, and they are joined by conservatives who are engaging in the same mythology. Pretty telling, I'd say.

Wow, my suspicions are confirmed as to the origins of that mythology.

And it's how they won control over congress.

Yes indeed.

The thing is, he wasn't right at all.

This poll said that Americans were moving farther from conservative moral values, and he blamed Bush for it, when this President has been a far more articulate spokesman for the sanctity of life and for marriage.

It was just nuts, that's all. So I told him to shut up.............and he did. :)
