I don't know what else there is to discuss - you think President Bush for some reason can't or shouldn't veto bills passed by a Republican Congress. That flies in the face of history - his lone veto was of such a bill. Reagan vetoed 78 bills despite the fact that Republicans held the Senate for six years of his term. Even Jimmuh vetoed 31 bills when the Dems held both houses by big margins.

I generally approve President Bush's job performance and think he was very courageous in taking down the Taleban and Saddam regimes. But where I believe he's made a mistake, I say so.

Fact is, this President has many times threatened vetoes and only pulled the trigger once. I hope he means it this time, although I doubt this bill will get out of the Senate.

I took my frustration out on you and that was very unfair of me.

It seems recently, there was been a bandwagoning effect in the media and on Free Republic that the President hasn't been forceful enough in putting the Dems in their place.

This concerted effort has really annoyed me. Really annoyed me. And here you come and I let you have it and I do apologize.

I don't agree with the President on some things, but lately, when I read the threads I find this good and decent man the subject of some vicious attacks. It makes me angry.

I think he has done a tremendous job. I don't agree with his immigration stand or his Israeli policy, but to read some of the names he gets called - well...

So, please accept my apology for "unloading" on you. Again, it wasn't very fair of me to do that.
