The other half of this discussion is that company owners or schools that try to wedge themselves too deeply into your personal life are going to find they have empty parking lots and empty classrooms and idle machines.

There are plenty of sociopathic "managers" that would love to control every facet of their employee's lives, (and I've worked for a few) but they have a HIGH turnover rate, and frequently do not know why.
