Hastert: I was there during Kyoto and I watched the development. I believe in international relationships and contracts but we need to make sure they work. I think there are answers, using the resources we have. I know you disagree with us on coal. There are things we can do with atomic energy and renewable fuelds. The other part of this is we've become so dependent on foreign fuels that we're tired to shieks and dictators and Venesuela and Iran and Iraq and Quatar and Nigeria and Russia and I could go on and on. If someone turns the spikot off, we lose jobs and the ability to produce in this country.

Hastert: I see store after store closed, manufacturing closed. As we increase regulation, we force jobs out of this country.
