Thanks! I just looked and saw that C-Span 3 will be carrying it at 2:30. We have no way of seeing that on TV, but I can listen over the net. Just hope someone points out what a DA Gore is!

You are right! There was a long interview in the New Yorker in 2000 in which algore tried to snow the interviewer with his understanding of cutting edge concepts. It was obvious he did not know what he was talking about. Maybe that is partly because he didn't attend class during his checkered academic career.
As for the planet with a fever, he argues one shoud take a baby with a fever to a doctor. Fine. What kind of moron would take their sick baby to a bunch of lawyers or politicians?

The article about that hearing said that the resolution "passed by voice vote without dissent".
