Rush Limbaugh responded this morning to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who called the talk show host "irrelevant" and said he wasn't Limbaugh's servant. Or rather, Schwarzenegger called Limbaugh's political views irrelevant.
The two men, as Limbaugh pointed out, have shared cigars and the Republican governor generally has been diplomatic about occasional barbs from the nationally syndicated talk show host. (The governor dodged attacking Limbaugh during a recent "Face the Nation" appearance, when he was asked an identical question about conservative critics.)
Toward the end of his remarks, Limbaugh said Schwarzenegger "is a sellout, and I'm seeing way too many Republicans do it. ... I don't know what happened to Arnold. I--I don't--he may--obviously didn't have the leadership skills to articulate conservative principles and win over the public as Reagan did." Read the full transcript after the jump.
Rush Limbaugh, speaking about Schwarzenegger's interview with NBC:
LIMBAUGH: They (NBC) throw something up Arnold, and I have said recently, and it happened today. And he called me irrelevant. He said he's not my servant. And I don't know how it is I can be irrelevant when every time he shows up on the 'Today' show' they ask him about me. I'm just sure he's sick and tired of hearing about it, he's sick and tired of getting the questions.

To say that a golden opportnunity to save this state was botched is an understatement.
and now having him try to sneak thru tax hikes by calling them "fees" as part of his aRnoldcare.
I don't know if we can afford, much less will survive, a full term under this action movie figure's studio,
Amalgamated Kennedys running things ..

Oh, sure. No doubt. But the Republican Party has always had a liberal wing. When I was a kid it was the Rockefeller wing.
Not going to the mat for Ah-nold, but, Cruz Bustamante?
Did the Libertarians or Constitution Party run anyone?
I guaranty you that if Giuliani were President, he'd give them a fight.
i left the governor blank this last election.
ah-nold pissed me off when he put that slate of referendums up in a special election. no one wanted the special election; his wife and advisers told him that people were tired of elections.
but no, ah-nold held the election but didn't campaign well for his issues.
he lost big.
castrated, he became a democrap.
>>Especially when you are referring to an over fed mouth with little else to offer other than entertainment. You didn't misunderstand anything<<
If that is what you think of Rush Limbaugh, you have just exposed yourself as a moron.
El Rushbo is El Righto
one of you "Already Posted" people 8-?
O'Really.
Cool. I didn't think you had it in you to vote Dem.
Rush didn't say Arnold wasn't a Republican, he said Arnold wasn't a conservative. What he was getting at is that Rush didn't want the definition of a conservative being dumbed down to fit Arnold's or Rudy's brand of politics.
OK, maybe not you. : )
But some around here really take it overboard.
Exactly.
Too often, people are confusing Republicans with Conservatives. They are not one in the same.
Rush is an entertainer, but a great conservative mind, also. He, like myself, has no time for RINO's. Until this country elects another (Reagan) Constitutional Conservative, it will continue down the Rat infested sewer. That said, GoHunter08!
i did not vote dem.
i voted pubbie for everything but ah-nold, which i left blank.
i don't like schwarzpuker. i think he's a phony.
You gotta admit it is funny.
Kind of like one time that I got in a spitting match with Willie Greene about misspelled words. And I misspelled one of the words in my post.
I know of what you mean .. lol
These 2 threads actually use different URLs to news-bloggyish places on the LAT site, Salladay probably contributes to both.
Ditto, he's out numbered at the dinner table at the Kennedy compound.
You like the cheese stuffer. I can take him or leave him...prefer to leave him. Sorry that I can't agree with you.
I think he might have mistaken celebrity for politics. Certainly a huge disappointment. Grassroots GOP might need some watering. [the log in my own eye is being in Seattle]

Fair enough.
