while my kids are in private (parochial) schools, I do not kid myself into thinking these schools are not as much a target as the public schools. The only thing in their favor is they are usually smaller, so not as much damage can be done by attacking them

OTOH, there are some ritzy high dollar private schools that might be a target just because of the families the kids that go there belong to.

I suspect they want the PUBLIC schools only because most kids go there and more bang for the buck.

I shudder alittle ... she goes to a private Christian school and Christian is in the name. They own their own buses for field trips etc and we know who drives them - employees of the school but still they are parked outside and security isn't the greatest.
