Using Live Mice...
Posted on 03/20/2007 12:30:33 PM PDT by John Robinson
We technicians here in the Free Republic server room experimented with real mice attached to our computers. Unfortunately, not one mouse survived being plugged-in for more than a few minutes. We've reverted back to the hamsters, they're more durable and they know how to dance to the electronic pop music we enjoy.
You should notice a significant improvement in response time.
Go go hamsters.

He was a good man.
My parents met him.
They said he was a really nice guy.

LOL!
I still crack up every time I see that picture of the server room!
(I’ve seen many in real life just like it.)
To: NicknamedBob
REality ain't what it used to be... Everytime you turn around, things just keep getting more science fiction like... We'll have flyin' cars and light sabers in no time at all. ;-)

"Everytime you turn around, things just keep getting more science fiction like... " And this is a problem why?
.
Actually, if we define the reality we live in then the world is only a few steps behind me.

And this is a problem why? Because I would prefer to not end up in the belly of one of David Gerrold's Morthan Tigers or have one of his Tribbles multiply me out of house and home.

It simply means you have to exercise your imagination and not just your muscles.
Science fiction heroes always devise some strategy to save the day.
Some of this imagineering might go a little easier if I had a magic wand.
