Some people here need to get real about this 2008 election.
As much as we like some of these candidates, they're simply not going to win...the nomination, let alone the general election.
Newt can't win.
Tancredo can't win.
Hunter can't win.
Brownback can't win. (is he even running?)
Huckabee can't win.
Whether we like it or not, Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton have achieved huge status in this country. Beating them won't happen with a run-of-the-mill milquetoast candidate.

I appreciate your input, but the primaries will settle this.

Agree and disagree. A milquetoast fop won't win against them. But, any one of those GOP you listed could do so, except for Tancredo. People keep acting as if name recognition at this point in time is all that matters, even though the primaries are a year away....

That being said, my choices are:
1) Fred Thompson
2) Duncan Hunter
3) Mitt Romney

One other thing...

Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton have achieved huge status in this country.

Yes, as not having a chance in hell of winning.

Mitt, if you don't like my views, wait I will change them again. 3 yrs as gov. of a small state and no real world background won't cut it.

Don't believe it. As usual, the libmedia is promoting the liberal candidates. Here's the current breakdown:

generally 99% support Hillary
another 99% support Obama
the remaining 99% support liberal Giuliani

That's how it always is. Until we elect a Republican again. The Dims got nothing. No record, no achievements. Zilch, nada.
