I agree with all the good Lt. had to say. But in some ways, a false sense of hope by AQIR for instance shall urge them to expose themselves a bit more openly. And every time they do that. Bingo. They end up dead. One way or another the Iraq/US/Coalition forces along with the newly recruited tribal groups must eliminate many thousands of goons in the next few months, and onward.
The insurgents of all forms are a finite force. They continue to loss all their forms of warfare, bomb making factories etc., as they get exposed.
Likewise there is just so much ordnance left in Iraq. Huge amounts has been detected and destroyed thus far.
They are on the losing side of history.
