Malyasia as never operated the F-16. And at last count they were still operating both the MiG-29 and the F-18

And they seem to like a mix of types

12 Squadron Northrop F-5E/F, RF-5E
18 Squadron Boeing F/A-18D Hornet
19 Squadron MiG 29N/UB

and

SU-30MKM Flanker being delivered

Yep,wondered what that was all about.They operate around 15 Mig-29s & only 8 Hornets.There is a pretty famous video of Mahatir Muhammad saying that the Hornets are so useless that they can't even bomb Singapore!!
