The few articles I've read in which the FBI or CIA claimed that Atta was in the United States on April 9, 2001, those articles were only attributed to anonymous sources. The FBI apparently at one time reported Atta had rented a car during that time, but according to this article there was no evidence of a car rental. Atta might not have met with al-Ani in Prague, but I don't know that there is any solid evidence which shows he did not.
