What Romney actually said was that at first he thought that the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy was a little crazy, but amazingly enough, it works. So now, he wouldn't change it. If, in the future it is determined that it is no longer working, obviously changes will have to be made, no? That was my interpretation of what he said.
