Come Welcome the Move America Forward Caravan in D.C. Tonight.
Gathering of Eagles partner Move America Forward has been leading a cross-country caravan of Gold and Blue Star families, veterans and other patriotic Americans that arrives tonight in Washington, D.C. after a week long trek that began in San Francisco last Thursday.
Local and early arriving Eagles are encouraged to greet the caravan when it arrives at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW.
Please plan to greet them between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Theyre scheduled to depart from Richmond, Va., at 3 p.m. and head up I-95 to D.C. Thats a bad stretch of road for afternoon commuters so thats why the arrival time is a bit sketchy.
The Move America Forward caravan has collected over TEN THOUSAND American flags from proud patriots across the country to send to units in Iraq and Afghanistan as a message of support for our troops and their mission fighting the war on terror.

Thanks for the ping.. are you with the group?
TRUE PATRIOTS BUMP!!!!!!!
Man that picture grabs you.
Wish I had known about this a little earlier
Tell then to slip over to E-3 and take a peek at the fire Museum there. Not much yet,but growing.
Thank you for the ping..I am there in spirit and am so thankful for all who are going!
I had to leave the gathering in Richmond at 10 minutes to 3, so I can't say when they left. It was a small bunch, perhaps 30+ people, in Monroe Park at Virginia Commonwealth University (which is on spring break).
I did get an opportunity to meet some fellow Gold Star parents and say a few words. It was held in the park right there at VCU where my son went to engineering school for two years.
Hope to see many of you on Saturday in D.C.
Semper Fi.
Sure does. Brings tears to my eyes every single time.
Hey! I still have that calendar from years ago!
As am I. On the 17th I shall be working a Scout Camporee.
The Eagles have landed..
I'm so Proud..
With you in Spirit.
AMEN! God I wish I could be there....
