It sounds like Persia (Iran) is whining like the French. Something like we used to be great, so make allowances for what we are today. PLLLLEASE give me a break. History is history. The Greeks were brilliant in kicked some serious butt.
Nice Whining Post Meg!
---'It seems ironic that Iranians can be absolutely certain of a battle which took place 2,300 years ago, but are confused about the holocaust which took place 65 years ago.----
Hahaha!! So TRUE!
Well said!
This sure is a lot of b*tching coming from a country who's Persian -Zorastrian culture was wiped out by Islamic invaders, who will still chop the heads off of anyone who dared "revert" back to Sun god worship, turning their backs on the Islamic moon God Allah and his daughters Al Uzza, Al Lat and Manat, who Mohammad affirmed were Allah's legitamate dauthers, literaly chips off the block (black rock)
For anyone who MISSED it in the credits, the movie is based off a COMIC BOOK, not a history book.
Maybe Iran could make a movie about how the Persian (Iraqi) Revolutionary Guard stopped the evil forces of the Great Satan for two nano-seconds each during Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom
Considering that the Mohammadans sacked and razed every Zorastrian temple and bured every book in the Persian empires libraries.
Any history of the Persian empire comes from whatever was written and peserved outside of it.
As others have pointed out, it's laughable that some angry Mohammadan would take issue with an animated fictional movie produced by Hollywierdo's about a Persian empire they destroyed and tried to permanently erase.
Further, anything an Islamic nutjob states as "fact" probably isn't, as Islam tries to distort history in order to put it's bloody savage barbaric history in a more favorable light.
Unfortunately for Islam, an evil blood cult created by Satan (Allah) in the dark bowels of hell, any light shone on it reveals it's true nature- it's simply too evil to be covered up.
Excellent point! And don't forget rap "music", MTV, slutty pop "singers" like Madonna, etc., when talking about putting profits before decency....
"Have these people forgotten the civilization that Persia brought to the world? Probably not. "
I assure you, all we have to do is look at the backward goat-humping civilization Iran is today to remember what Persia brought to the world.
"I think it's time for a prequel...about how the Persians got their clocks cleaned at Marathon by another smaller Greek army. "
If anything, it's just as heroic. After whipping Persian butts at Marathon the Greeks force march 22 miles across the peninsula and stopped the fleet. Now that is bad ass.
I usually wait to watch films at home now that my system is better than the theaters. But now I will certainly be buy a ticket or two.
Pssst! Hey Abolfazl Moghadam; No we haven't, and it sure didn't resemble the goat and camel humping, and (Ayatollah approved) baby raping you see practiced by the diaper-wearing prostrators in Iran today! that is the "civilization" (if you can call it that) that Mohammad's followers brought.
To all the foreigners upset about "300".
Everything produced by Hollywood is fiction, even (or especially) that which they claim is non-fiction.
I haven't seen "300", but am willing to believe that it insults the ancient Persians. How many times do you think Hollywood has produced a movie that insults Americans?
I suggest you just get over it. If you feel you just have to do something about it, I suppose you could do the Islamic thing and start killing movie makers.
Our kids can kick your a##
our punks can kick your a##
Heck even our cheerleaders can kick your a##es
this is what we watch for "fun".
...
Iran is a Muslim country.
Why do they care what some ancient king did?
See tagline.
I am stealing your Molon Labe 2000 coin. Coming soon my sigs on every board I am on.
