I voted for Alan Keyes twice in the GOP primary. So that tells you right there what sort of GOP voter I am. And I would vote for Giuliani/Thompson in a heartbeat. Alternative is Hillary! or Obama--are you kidding me?

I held up Roy Moore for Governor signs on a hot Pell City street corner during last year's Republican primary in Alabama.

And I, too, would likely vote for Giuliani over Hillary/Obama/Edwards. Even though Rudy does not share my principles, I would probably conclude that voting for him advances those principles (or at least limits the damage to them) moreso than the alternatives.

Understand, it's not a slam dunk for me ... I would have to ponder it awhile.

But it is way too early to throw in the towel on electing a conservative in 2008.
