I used to intern for the Republican legislature in WI. There were 7 representatives who had a house like this just footsteps from the Capitol, and it pretty much fit the description of this story. There were 7 old beds, a fridge full of beer, and one crappy TV and stereo. But they had a one or two good house parties.

As a fraternity alum, I'd like to object strongly to the aspersions implicitly cast upon my brethren and the brothers of North American college social fraternities in general by comparing any structure domiciling Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer and George Miller to a chapter house.

Answer: Anybody living with rats the size of DC rats has to have some sort of weapon to kill the rats with - and guns were illegal until a day or so ago.
