If there are really people out there who have been pronounced dead, given a death certificate, medical care has ceased, and they've been transferred to the morgue for burial, I want to actually see the evidence he's talking about.

You sound like a boastful braggart. You also know those death certificates are buried deep to cover some behinies.

For any others reading this: I had two death certificates, and was told, and have no memory of, that I freaked out some aides down in the icebox.

The One we call Jesus is Real, and knows you and Loves you beyond mortal comprehension.

In a backward community, there is no video or electronics to manipulate. Eyewitness testimony is still relied on in our justice system.

Which brings up the next relevant question -- why do they always happen in backward communities where medical records cannot be kept to document the event ? Why do they never happen in big cities ( New York for instance ) ?

As a follow up to my above question, I would surmise that if the purpose of miracles such as these is to give faith to the skeptics, then the more they would need to be performed in places where skeptics abound... BIG CITIES where medical doctors are in abundance for instance.

But no, we don't see that happening. They always happen in backward communities.

I have spoken with one person that claimed to have seen an infant resurrected, and spoken to man that claimed to be resurrected. Both of these cases were in India

Yes, A lot of Jim Rutz resurrection cases were reported in Indian Villages. So we have coroboration of what you say.

My Miracle and Living the Gospel - Lee Stoneking
On November 9, 2003, at the airport in Sydney, Australia, Stoneking
suffered a massive heart attack. For 30 minutes following the attack,
there was no breath or pulse. Miraculously, he is alive and well today,
preaching the gospel around the world.

Back From The Dead- RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 27, 2005

Larry D. Green was declared dead on the scene of a car accident Monday night. About two hours later, Medical Examiner was documenting Green's injuries from being struck by an automobile when he noticed the body take a shallow breath.

Many other documented stories of people being raised from the dead throughout the history of the Church:

It does happen.

I would prefer you not buy the book. I would prefer someone with the book already, or better, the author of the book himself, present three cases from America, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Bahamas, France, the French West Indies, la Reunion, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Belgium or Switzerland where this happened, with names and addresses. I will consider other British islands on a case-by-case basis.

Basically, I want a first-world country with normal medical and death recording procedures whose language I can speak and documents I can read directly.

If God is resurrecting people in Burundi but not doing it in the third most populous country in the world, I will be dubious.

One of the aspects of Lourdes that makes it so compelling is that the amazing healings that happen there happen in a first-world country under the direct supervision of an international committee of medical doctors who document all of the cases. That is what renders what happens there within the pale of real science, and forces one to accept that something is indeed going on at Lourdes that shatters the probability curves.

This sounds like the teachings of a charlatan. It could be true, and I will investigate if I can get the data, but I certainly don't want anybody spending money getting the data.

"You sound like a boastful braggart."

Nothing of the sort.

I have talked to angels in thin air, and been thrown around a room by spirits.

These things are real.

But every claim made about them is not real, and many claims about them are purposeful fabrications aimed at getting people's money. That is what this sounds like.
"Buy my book, and I will give you names and faces" sounds like Simon Magus.
You can peruse the miraculous healings at Lourdes on line for free.

You had two death certificates.
What did you die of, in each cases.
How long were you dead.
What were the specifics of each case.

Jesus is real. But everyone who claims to have a line to Jesus is not. And folks who want money to tell you about that line are almost certainly not. It's always possible that they are, but the starting point of "PAY ME to tell you the amazing truth" is an instant Simon Magus alert to anyone who is sensible. Which is what I am, not a braggart at all.

Near death experiences (NDE) and resurrections (like Jesus's) are not the same thing.

People who have NDEs will die (again) at some point in the future.

When Jesus resurrected, he didn't die again. He ascended to heaven as a resurrected being, where he is still today.

Near death experiences (NDE) and resurrections (like Jesus's) are not the same thing.

If you read the author's article, he DOES differentiate between NDE and resurrections.

He says he IS NOT talking about NDE's but RESURRECTION.

I also understand that he isn't refering to resurrection similar to Jesus, but to Lazarus. Which means that these people have been confirmed DEAD, only to rise later. That they will someday die again ( as Lazarus eventually did ) goes without saying.

So NO. Jim Rutz RULES OUT Near Death experiences. I understand his article to mean Lazarus-type resurrections.
