While this article is nuts, I could not help but chuckle at the idea of Nancy Peolsi having to follow the orders given by GW. As Vice President, she would have to do what the President says.

Dick Cheney has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his left leg, leading to speculation he will be forced to resign as U.S. Vice-President.

Pelosi, Hillary and everyone else better pray that Cheney doesn't resign considering that the VP selected will have the incumbent's advantages in the 2008 race.

Let me tell you something, Hell will be asking for maintenance to turn down the air conditioners before Nancy Pelosi becomes Vice President.

IF Cheney were to step down (do NOT bet any more than pocket change on THAT happening!), the President makes his selection for a replacement VP (and it can be anyone), and the SENATE confirms that choice.

Being that the Senate is such a friendly old boys club, that means that a new VP selected from inside the 'club' would have a better chance of being confirmed than someone from outside.

If such a scenario came to pass, I would positively LOVE to see the President nominate former Senator ZELL MILLER as his new VP.

Watch those 'Rats squirm.

I postulated this scenario about a month ago. I think this one below was my first time suggesting it.

of all the things president bush has done to unravel the gop, the worst is to abdicate his responsibility for succession
***Why doesn't he ask Cheney to resign for health reasons? He certainly has had enough heart attacks. His next choice for VP would be the heir apparent.

Fred could be VP while working on his run for 2008.

Oh yes, the VPOTUS MUST step down! Of course!

Then again, we've got a "sitting" senator who's disabled from an anurism, and we've had dead men elected to the senate.

I think that having the President of the Senate with a blood clot in his leg is no big deal!

Mark

Sick of all the morbid speculation the msm loves to idulge in. Why not wait. . .should Cheney decide at any time; that his health requires a 'retirement'; then speculate away. Otherwise, it is what it is. . .a 'fantasy'- the Left cannot help but indulge themselves with.
