This is the whole point. The ONLY thing Libby should have said was "I don't recall. I talk to a lot of people every day." He obviously said something else, and unfortunately, my guess is he must have said it with an arrogance that turned off the jury. Why he didn't just shut up and say, "Can't remember" is beyond me.

You're right. He should have been covering his butt instead of trying to answer the question. Sad but true in political life.

because of the mandate from the white house to "cooperate with this serious investigation". now we know why Fleischer resigned, to get out from under that.
