Do you believe that Mitt Romney, Duncan Hunter, Sam Brownback, Mike Huckabee, and Jim Gilmore are weak on the war on terror? Do you think they can't do the job?

A lot of Rudy supporters seem to argue that Rudy is the only candidate running who is right on the war on terror. But so far as I can tell, with the exception of McCain (who is still strongly supporting the war, but is wrong on so many ancillary issues), all the candidates are right on the war.

With Rudy, that is the focus because it's about all he has going for him other than his record as Mayor. But just because the other candidates are conservatives on a host of other issues doesn't mean they don't have the war on terror right as well.

I was attacking nobody, I was just putting out what the media will do to any GOP candidate. You don't think they don't have talking points ready to go against any GOP candidate?

Giuliani supporters do not belong on this forum.

Your comments reveal you to be half, if not fully insane.

Reagan "cheated" on his first wife.

Stop lying about our 40th President.

Get real.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Though I prefer to think

That would be a first.

that he met his soulmate when his marriage was falling apart and he made the decision to be with her.

That is nothing but your own fevered speculation, a desperate imagining in a desperate attempt to defend your own falling idol.

I can't even be irritated with you Veronica, you're more to be pitied.

Get your facts straight! It was Jane that was doing the cheating and it was several years between President Reagan's two marriages.

Trouble is the only thing that comes up is Italian restaurants and delis Rudeo frequents.

Funny that Duncan Hunter is the one who looks like he's had one too many Italian dinners. And those JC Penny suits. Sheesh!

Well, actually, security is not really what they do. From their web page, their "philosophy" statement:

Giuliani Partners LLC is dedicated to helping leaders solve critical strategic issues, accelerate growth, and enhance the reputation and brand of their organizations in the context of strongly held values. Giuliani Partners' professional guidance to leaders is based on six fundamental principles: Integration, Optimism, Courage, Preparedness, Communication, Accountability

The closest thing to "security" in that list is "preparedness", under which they say:

Being prepared requires constant vigilance and foresight. Preparedness applies not only to the effective execution of operations, but also to the assurance that operations continue smoothly through any type of event. Organizations face an ever-changing series of threats to their future. That is why it is essential to identify existing threats quickly and review the processes and procedures in place to combat those threats. Careful preparation for every event that can be anticipated enhances preparation for the unanticipated. The public and private sectors face a multitude of risks and challenges stemming from terrorism, crime, natural disasters, market performance, and countless other factors that threaten an organization’s ability to survive. Governments are already taking steps to protect civilians and businesses from the effects of a variety of threats. The private sector can do more to prepare to secure its personnel, assets, and future. Relentless preparation develops a culture of responsibility and awareness.

It's not his firm that gives him the issue of being tough on the "war on terror". He looked good right after 9/11, he said the right things, and he's been a strong supporter of Bush.

Sure speaks loads about your own character, or utter lack of character.

Lots of ad hominem beginning to be spewed by the RudyNots. I suppose that straightfoward reason isn;t doing the job for you guys.

In any case at CPAC Giuliani stated that he supported civil unions or something less, but that "marriage is between one man and one woman," and that has always been his position.

As for the rest I presume you're also taking extreme liberties with his positions.

If Giuliani does what you said, then I will go on the record and say 100% I would not vote for his Re-Election.

But he already did everything I mentioned when he was mayor of NYC. It's not some whispered gossip or rumor, it's a fact. It just boggles my mind that he had so little respect for the office he held. Why should I trust that he will have more respect for the office of President of the United States?

I am not up on all those candidates....but I'd vote for anyone one of them if they can beat the beast. Rudy is tough on terror in my eyes and I think he is an honest man so far, and it looks like he can WIN. So, I don't want fellow repubbies to trash him unfairly. But, I want the best 100% CONSERVATIVE like most people in here....one that can beat the 'horned one.' So far it's Rudy....so why tear him down? Start building up the other candidates instead. We are fighting eachother...I've never seen (or partook) in such venom in here lately. Build up instead of tearing down.

you people are the infinitesmal 1% that polled they will support the lisping liberal twit, no matter what he does. And may I say----good luck with that.

So why then, may I ask, are you and your group so hysterical? Why bother to reply at all to an infinitesmal 1%?

"You people" are sliding off the deep end. Have a nice fall.

"Your comments reveal you to be half, if not fully insane."

Rarely does irony strike with such clarity. I merely wrote that support of a liberal democrat for President has no place on a conservative message board, and I am accused of insanity. Is this what we can expect from a G-lib?

Yes, if you have issues on which you think Duncan wouldn't be a good president, you should post them.

Yeah, but Duncan Hunter has never dressed up in drag, has never marched in a homosexual rights parade, and has never said that murdering an unborn child is not as bad as murdering a child already living.

Keep 'em coming Veronica, I didn't know batting around a pinata could be this much fun.
