An unfortunate video tape (who took it, we wonder?) surfaces. But Romney's campaign quickly condemned Coulter's remarks, and we're fairly certain that Coulter, when she appears on television later today, will criticize Romney for caving to pressure.

Yea, the video demonstrated that she was very quick to want to slide in there and get her arm around and photo taken with the Republican Candidate With Perfect Hair.

I think the meaning would not have been lost if she had used Romney's name instead of Edwards'. I mean, it was just a comment on political correctness after all, not a serious attempt to call someone a faggot, right?
