I have criticized certain positions Ann has taken in the past, but it truly astonishes me how much noise this has caused. Wow, she made a crack about someone being a faggot. What's the big deal?

The big deal is we have "news" 24/7 that isn't putting out information and facts, but "sizzle." Anna Nichol is not as hot a story as it was, Al Gore being revealed (again) as a bigmouthed hypocrit isn't "sexy", but a pretty blonde calling a third-place presidential candidate a faggot, now that's something we gotta talk about!

As if NO ONE has looked at Edwards and thought the same thing...

And that's usually what gets Ann in trouble: Saying what many people think but don't have the cojones to say out loud.

Edwards works hard to maintain his reputation:

Kerry-Edwards: The ambiguously 'gay' duo

July 9, 2004

"...Just this week, the National Stonewall Democrats – a group that advocates on behalf of those who practice homosexuality – pronounced Kerry-Edwards as the "most pro-gay ticket in the history of presidential politics." The Human Rights Campaign – Washington's largest homosexual lobbying group – gave the two men a 100 percent rating on their voting records on issues of advancing homosexual issues, life and marriage. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force referred to them as the most "gay-supportive" pairing in history."
