It's not Ann who has lost standing with me it's the conservative bloggers who have condemned her and the craven cowardly politicians who've distanced themselves.

This is why the Repub's are considered a party of sissies. You won't see the demonrats reacting this way when a pinko fellow traveler of their's makes a similar comment.

1) It's a joke. Maybe a poor one, but a joke.
2) Maybe she was going to say, "Vote for Edwards and faggots will rejoice." (That doesn't call him one.)
3) Finally, the slam is actually on the ridiculous reaction to the "Grey's Anatomy" guy, and the PC culture we live in.

You don't like Ann's style, fine. But I'll not be one to abandon a straight shooting conservative such as Ann Coulter.
