It's definitely a conservative website not affiliated with any party.

Reality dictates that the only national politicians will come from the GOP, so there is a slant that way out of mere pragmatism if nothing else.

If the current Rudy Wars end up driving most mainstream Republicans from this site, it will still be a conservative site, but it will be kind of a Michael Savage cheering section and not much more.

At that point, wouldn't FR be considered a pro-gay web site?

Yep, some FR posters remind me of my former Baptist church back home.

Several of the Deacons decided to let their children attend the Junior/Senior prom.

Some front pew fundamentalist members objected over the possibility that the children would be exposed to or might even dance and wanted the deacons replaced with staunch like thinkers.

The majority of the church would not vote out the deacons so several of the staunch fundamentalist walked out and formed their own church.

I remember well the insults hurled back and forth about who was the most Christian.

About the same thing here as to who is the most conservative.

I support Duncan Hunter because he is not only a good, decent, caring person but he shares my values and love of this great country.

I truly pray that Duncan will wind up as the next POTUS but if he dosen't I will support who ever the majority of Republicans put out as their candidate.
So does this make me a conservative or a Republican or both?

I certainly will not walk just because some fundamentalist tells me that I am not following the letter of what some consider conservatism to be for them.

I wonder what the Gipper would say about this situation.

One thing he would say is that Republicans should not speak ill of other Republicans.

Just the lowly opinion of a Red State Wannabe.
