I've never been smart. Just lucky sometimes. ;-)
Yes, no, and no.
FR has very little influence.
Ive had it with the amount of tax placed on every aspect of my life
Well, thanks to all the pictures of Rudy in drag, Free Republic is now considered a tranny site.

Let me post you a question then. If you are an opponent of abortion but both candidates are pro-abortion candidates, would you vote third party knowing that the third party candidate has no chance to win and knowing that whoever is elected president may have little or no chance of changing the national landscape on abortion? This is just an example which could apply to other issues also.
Probably so. I'm assuming yours works better, so please share the future with us.
My answer is yes.
Tell that to Dan Rather
I consider myself a Conservative. I also think that Conservatives are smart, but every election they scare me and make me think of an old joke.
There are three kinds of people in the world:
Those that can count... and those that can't.
"I just want to kill terrorist, everything else comes second."
I like that idea myself.
Coming to a web site near you...
har, har
Free Republic is a Conservative site. The Republican platform USED to embody and align with most of the issues/positions that Conservatives hold, so Free Republic gave "space" to party-first Republicans.
The Republican party has been successful in supporting candidates who are increasingly liberal in every sense, in increasing opposition to Conservative concerns. Step by step the liberal wing of the Republican party has sought to diminish Conservative "steering" of the party.
Unless the Republican party wishes to hold the Conservative vote, it'd best return center-to-right or those unenthused will cross party lines to find candidates of ANY party that most meets their agenda.
Tranny site? As in transsexual site? LOL
"When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one who got hit."
Throwing rocks at dogs tells me all I need to know about a person.
We'll see how valuable that influence is when he needs to step out from the primaries.
You mean Buckhead -- not FR.
Pretty much sums it up...a lot of folks here are voting against their "conscious."
Vanna...I'd like to buy an apostrophe....
...jest kiddn' ya, Cindy. Ann was jest kiddin, too!
A very good question.
