First, thanks for your service.

Second, my understanding is that we lost in '06 - not because conservatives stayed home but because independents moved their support from the GOP to the dems.

Third, my understanding is that Rudy is a fiscal conservative - just not a social conservative. But that he can be talked into a deal to not oppose the social agenda and to appoint strick constructionist judges.

Don't mention it... Happy to have done it...

I agree with you on this. But why did they do this? Was it because the Republican party failed them?

My concern right now is that if we fail to win this battle, and either a Rino or a Dem gets into power, we have 20 MM illegal immigrants now in this country that will be registered to vote for a Democrat candidate in future elections. If this were to happen, how long before we manage to get another Republican President? Third, my understanding is that Rudy is a fiscal conservative - just not a social conservative. But that he can be talked into a deal to not oppose the social agenda and to appoint strick constructionist judges I can see what your saying here, but I tend to be cynical. I've never met a politician I have any reason to trust or believe. I agree that Rudy would be the best in regard to national security. I'd vote for him for this reason alone. But, I'd never trust his support relative to our other conservative values. But then, GWB has not been too great in this regard either. I'd still like to see a real conservative run for POUS. I sure hope I don't have to vote for the lesser of the looses. Semper Fi
