We need to be vicious about evil and ecstatic about virtue. When this country was fighting the Japanese, after a cowardly surprise attack, we began calling them "Japs" -- not just out on the battlefield, but in the newspapers. Demonizing demons is appropriate when you are at war for hearts and minds. The congress is full of people who want to forcefully take the wages of those who work and give it to those who won't. We should begin using the word "thieves." Studies indicate Saudi funded mosques in America are FULL of western-hating literature. We should begin calling Islam the religion of hate that it manifestly is. When abortionists kill children, we should call them the murderers they truthfully are. When homosexuals spread the filth of their anal cavities on each other, we should start calling them the "faggots" that they really are.
There is no virtue in pretending evil doesn't exist, and there has been no campaign--political or military--that is won by half-hearted rhetoric.

You're right in this regard. There is nothing wrong with getting vicious in dealing with overseas enemies, and labeling in any way that helps matters is fine by me. But as regards domestic Leftists, vicious is lost; no way to go here. See my earlier post about directness and unapologia.

we began calling them "Japs"I don't know that calling them that was invented by the WWII folks, after all it's just an abbreviation for Japanese. What they did was turn it into an epithet, a dirty word, if you will.
