The Real Rudy

Rudy Giuliani had been speaking for six minutes before anyone in the audience thought to clap, which was exactly the way he wanted it. Talking to a political crowd in North Spartanburg, S.C., last month, the former New York City mayor and 2008 presidential candidate was not there to excite but to warn; he was less interested in making political promises than he was in sketching out the perils we face. He spoke in the hushed tones of the day that marked him for history, September 11, 2001, his voice barely filling the somber setting—not a hotel ballroom or a church basement, but a firehouse, festooned with American flags.

Yah, it would have been really smart for him to run as a Reagan Republican in a 5-1 D city.

If you actually believe this, do yourself a favor: Never, ever advise a candidate unless you want him to lose.

Noticed the anti-Rudy crowd and the Hunter crowd are already here. Are the Hunter threads so void of posts that have to have Rudy threads to post on. Guess that is what happens when a candidate is an * in polling numbers.

The successful candidate attracts support, as well as the ions unable to form a stable bond with competitors.

Political chemistry.

And Rudy's likable. I've noticed that.

Yes; I've been told all the trolls and formerly banned freepers are being let back in as long as they hate Rudy.

I call BS. Playing the victim again I see.

LOL. Call it what you will. Anyone with any knowledge of the situation can clearly see that Libert Post folks are being allowed back. Some of them have even admitted it.

Rudy has backbone, to bad he only discovers it when his handlers suggest he use it. Must be a hell of a law clerk in his day. Where was that wuss Duncan Hunter? Oh ya, he was doing important things for the country, being his best, defending America as an Airborne Ranger, where spine is just one of the many qualifications that mark character. Just some of the reasons, he has earned my support, and vote.

You just stick with your gun grabbing, gay, partial birth-abortion, say anything to win candidate. Are you an operative from another website?

Rudy was taking down the mob...cleaning up NWCity while Hunten Dunker was an an mediocre congrescritter from a gerrymandered district.

Rudy accomplished more in 4 years as mayor then Dunken did in 20 years sitting on his ass spending taxpayer money like he hates the stuff. .

Dunken is good ol boy...wired in GIP fiscal liberal/social conservative. Last years model. Ask George
Allen ...Rick Santuram or W.

He's got as much chance of being POTUS as Custer's Bugler.
