McCain-hating and Romney-bashing have been pretty much equal-opportunity pastimes around CPAC this year.
Rudy, on the other hand, has gotten mostly a free pass. And, today, his speech was filled to capacity with folks waiting in the hallway to get in. There were also dense crowds around all the TVs in the exhibit halls. The charm offensive is strong, indeed. People just love listening to him.
I took some video of conservatives quite mesmerized by the Mayor, so I'm working on getting that up. They were doing crowd control outside the hall in which he was speaking. Many of those folks crowding the hall are pro-life, social conservatives who just can't resist him, despite the policy differences. I don't think Rudy will remain unattacked, as he was this week, but the feel-good factor is big for him, no matter what kind of conservative he's talking to.
Today, he talked about leadership, security, toughness, and Reagan to a crowd who's looking for a leader in the image of Reagan in a time that needs security. It was a good pitch, and there were more people listening than have listened to anything at CPAC this week.

Very good. Jim Jones believed very much in authority too. See my tag-line.
Ping.
However, as everything has a silver lining and us positive thinking people tend to find it, I found the silver lining in narses numerous posts on the Rudy threads: it keeps bumping the thread, keeping it more active, so more people can see it and read the actual article and other posts too.
Thank you narses. :)
That De Jesus antichrist dude in Miami conveys a mean vision, too. I wonder if he'd be tough on terrorism.
You are welcome. We have the same agenda, at least on that point. Let people read what Rudy says. This is why even Newt Gingrinch is a preferred alternative in the FR poll. The more people read what Rudy has actually said and done, the more they look elsewhere.
Ouch!
Well, having launched 2 Pro-Rudy threads last week that got 700 and 2300 replies respectively, I am a bit pooped.
My tagline says it all nicely.
The anti-Rudy 'Koolaiddrinkers' who have lost all sense of conservative manners and have drunk deep from the Klintonian well of character assassination are basically crying out in frustration because they have been marginalized.
But not by Rudy - by their own blind policies, implemented for too long and resulting in an electorate that has tired of them.
They're like the Captain of the Titanic, who, having received word of icebergs ahead (Nov 2006 - HELLOOO???) keeps sailing into the darkness at full speed ahead.
Well, in order to miss that iceberg dead ahead in 2008 and avoid a national catastrophe, we need to zig-zag a little bit.
Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it.
Rudy Giuliani
Well, in fairness, I did mention the antichrist. But I was talking about drafting Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda to run for the GOP nomination. I think he'd be swell.

Sieg Rudy!
I see you have no criticism of Hillary. Why is that?
Keep drinking. Hitlary is counting on you!!!
We say the unborn child has a fundamental right to life. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and we endorse legislation that the 14th Amendments protections apply to unborn children. Our purpose is to have legislative and judicial protection of that right against those who perform abortions. We oppose using public revenues for abortion and will not fund organizations which advocate it. We support the appointment of judges who respect the sanctity of innocent human life. Republican Party on Civil Rights Strong support for traditional definition of marriage We support the traditional definition of marriage as the legal union of one man and one woman, and we believe that federal judges and bureaucrats should not force states to recognize other living arrangements as marriages. We do not believe sexual preference should be given special legal protection or standing in law. Source: Republican Platform adopted at GOP National Convention Aug 12, 2000
Republican Party on Gun Control Will protect right to bear arms We defend the constitutional right to bear arms. We oppose federal licensing of law-abiding gun owners and national gun registration as a violation of the Second Amendment and an invasion of privacy of honest citizens. Through programs like Project Exile, we will hold criminals individually accountable for their actions by strong enforcement of federal and state firearm laws, especially when guns are used in violent or drug-related crimes. Republican Party on Immigration
Only legal immigrants, through tightly controlled borders. (Sep 2004) Amnesty encourages illegal immigration. (Sep 2004)
The Rubybots simply do not understand that the guy isn't even a Republican nor a conservative.
Hillary and Rooty have mostly the same opinions and policies. My criticisms of both are essentially driven by the same revulsions. But thanks for asking.
Telling the truth about Rooty, especially using his own words, isn't "hate". Facts are. They exist. Rooty is opposed to most of the GOP agenda. He endorses left wing ideas and candidates. Them are facts.
(Rudy in full drag would be a tougher POTUS than all the other candidates of both parties combined!!!)Explain your hero's military service, or rather his lack thereof. Can you?
Look, find my "Kool-Aid Thread" and my "Is it good to kick RINOS out" Thread. Of last weekend. Combined they will give you about 3000 posts to read through. I'm pooped and don't want to repeat myself just yet.
