Well... it's a bit more than 5 days from voting, now, isn't it? What did the polls show one YEAR before the voting?

They showed Kerry in the lead, one year before Iowa? I don't remember that, but I don't remember WHO was or wasn't in the lead so early on, so I can't really dispute it. Still, it's surprisingly prescient of those polls in Kerry's case, if not in Lieberman's.
