Unlike the Egyptian's, the typical mesoamerican pyramids were built to serve as a platform for temples and sacficicial altars. (Human sacrifice, that is...)

I'm looking at it from a different viewpoint....that they were forts for the elite....at a time were the catapult was about as good as it got.

So picture the old stone forts of our country or Europe for that matter and think of a unique way to "roof it" with 1/3 the stone. What's the mathematical area/volume formula for a pyramid?? I forgot.

Was it because they new the earth was going to get hot as He*l from global positioning

Yeah, those Egyptians knew that greenhouse gases were going to do all of us in. After all, the CO2 emitted by their flying around the pyramids and all those camels farting had to increase the carbon load in the atmosphere. The pyramids were probably some sort of Algore or Ponzi scheme for carbon neutrality.

And I don't remember. Had the Egyptians invented the SUV for their time?

Well, it makes about as much sense as anything else I've heard about "Climate Change".

why were small shafts built into its structure, and what is behind the so-called "blocking stone?"

It's uh, complicated, man...

The base floor is probably a honeycomb design. The object would be to get to the chambers that had airshafts and supplies to survive. Kinda like Usama's caves.

Probably something left over from the Knights Templar, or something crazy like that...

Nah. Who would believe such a crazy claim?

(LOL)

Perhaps this is the equivalent of using silica gel to absorb moisture.

Was moisture a problem in the desert?

I believe this goes back to the time of Franklin and the Federal Seal.

Wasn't franklin in some goofy social club, like the moose lodge or something?

the salt was just in the mortar and the crystals formed to the surface,

That would be my first guess.

In the "dehumidifying" version, why wouldn't they use the local desiccating agent that they used for mummifying? I want to say calcium carbonate.

Your right, it's a time issue. If the shafts do point to any stars, then they point at stars that indicate a specific time when the shafts were set, in stone so to speak. Which is part of the Buvaul theory. Back tracking the settings of the shafts and everything else, the time points back to at least 10,000+ BC.

I don't know for sure as also the Egyptologist's.

Just too many questions they don't really want to tackle. I would unravel much of what is in place.

Sounds good, however, two slabs? Also, the slabs have remains of bronze tabs that prevent the slabs from rising again. If the slabs are as you say then this isn't needed. If however, there lies something beyond the two slabs that weren't meant to be seen again, and not raised, then the bronze tabs make sense.

Again, too much mystery, not enough inquiry by mainstream Egyptologists.

Oh, yeah...

And the masonic symbol for the all-seeing eye of god would be....?

(Sorry, I could resist playing)

(It is an eye on top of a truncated pyramid, if you are curious...has been, since before this country existed)

(Anybody think they might be connected?)

"I have always questioned why the Egyptians Mayans and other ancient cultures built huge stone structures in the first place."

Here's some ideas:

Voyages Of The Pyramid Builders

There are more pyramids in Mexico than all the rest of the world combined.

Maybe they were protection from the rocks falling from the heavens.
