"She obviously cant behave well enough to attend a respectable political gathering. Its not a lack of intelligence. Its an indifference to self-control and a preening sort of narcissism that compels her to need the spotlight, even if its unflattering."Geez. Who's he talking about? Cindy Sheehan? Rosie? The Dixie Chicks? Janeane Garofalo? Hillary?
Could be any one of them.

"John Edwards says that he is interested in hearing problems that gays have. You would too if you had eight hairdressers."
Your point is weak. You don't have to be "gay" or a "faggot" to be incredibly vain.

So, Truman Capote has no chance of ever being published?
Oh, people with talent and wit get published no matter what they look like. Mark Steyn and PJ O'Rourke get published.
In the specific case of Coulter, no, she wouldn't - her shtick as "supposedly" attractive and being a thin blonde is instrumental to whatever success she's achieved.
To: KC_Conspirator
She owes an apology to the American Conservative Union folks who invited her to speak at CPAC.

I've noticed a desire and almost a pride among conservatives to have our own untalented ranting idiots to match the left. Escapes me why.
To: rickdylan
IMHO John Edwards and his "sue happy" ilk are one of the reasons that health care costs are out of control.
The union bosses are greedy lowlifes who are sucking the life out of this country.
It's time for both factions to get real.

Those so-called conservatives who are all too insistent on going along to get along will get the nation's citizenry killed.
Political cowardice in the guise of propriety is capitulation.

"You're doing a Dixie-Chicks on us. "
Now why would you want to insult me like that. Shame on you for being such a low life.
"This hasn't got a thing to do with "free speech." Get real."
It has everything to do with free speech. Free speech doesn't mean you have to like what was said.

I guess we're just a bunch of hate-mongering mean nasty Republican conservatives in my house. We all got a chuckle from Ms. Coulter's line.

Ma! Ma! Wheres my Pa? One of Blaine's campaign ads when running against Cleveland
Blaine! Blaine! James G. Blaine! The continental liar from the state of Maine. Countered Cleveland
John Adams made bombastic charges that Thomas Jefferson was an agent of the French revolution and serial adulterer.
Jefferson countered saying Adams was a monarchist.
George Washington was constantly being referred to as a would be king by his political opponents.
And don't forget this jewel from the NY times :President Likens Dewey to Hitler as Fascists Tool.
And Truman Tells Chicago Audience a Republican Victory will Threaten U.S. Liberty.
If you can't stand criticism and insults in the political arena then get out.

John Edwards says that he is interested in hearing problems that gays have. Hey, John, you know how to get hearing AIDS?
From listening to homosexuals.....

Your point is weak. Your point is imaginary.
Ann makes an implication and the perpetually indignant shriek. Their side makes the same implication and you can hear the crickets chirp.

I guess it's not going to sink in with many people here at FR. It's WHERE SHE MADE THE COMMENT! AT CPAC!
To: ajolympian2004
But calling President Bush a dumbass, a drunk, and implying that he's responsible for the dragging death of James Byrd is OK though by the Left.
Besides, Ann didn't really call Edwards a faggot straight out. She merely used it in the passive reference. More hysterial by the hypocritical Left and conservatives too afraid to fight dirty.

Since when do we buy into the word/thought police. Why do we have to consider some words ok while others are offensive. We are playing right into the hands of the PC crowd soas not to offend anyone.
Humor is offensive and especially invective humor which is what she uses effectively. It was a slam at Edwards' internet bloggers not at Edwards although he is a bit faggish.
Boy are we quick to throw our own under the bus.

I can't get over how prissy so many of my favorite bloggers have turned out to be. But they're all ar CPAC and it all becomes a circle jerk and a contest in puffed-up selfrighteousness seems to be just the thing.
Get a life. And try to write something of interest.
