Looks like Fred Thompson is dipping his toe into the Presdential wars despite his vote for CFR.

I'll have to say, Hold the phone on my little thought regarding the "Faggot" comment. I have heard that Edwards' bloggers used the word, "faggot" on a radio show. I could have sworn that I had read a quote online as well. BUT...Google searches are thus far coming up empty.

Still searching, but I may have been inaccurate.

She must be out of her mind. Why would she hurt the GOP over someone as inconsequential as John Edwards? What good can come of such foolishness?

"Is Ann Coulter still dating that FEMALE radio host from Los Angeles. Or is she back with Matt Drudge?"

Does Soros pay good benefits?

He should with all the money he is making off of Halliburton.

It was a joke about how some words are now illegal and they can get you thrown into rehab.

She could have stuck in any name, though Edwards was good. But nobody thinks Edwards is really gay. (I'm sure he's screwed clients of both sexes.)

It is amazing to me the drop in intellect at FR these days.

I realize there are a lot of seminar posters and people from Soros' various groups here posing as conservatives for moments just like these.

But that doesn't account for all of the posts. The rest have to be chalked up to rampant stupidity.

Alas.

HAAAAA! John Edwards being beat up on by conservative women. Laura Ingram has been calling him "Silky Pony" for a long time. Michelle Malkin has picked up on "My Silky Pony," and taken Edwards and the "nutroots" to task: "The best way to fight the nutroots is to raise their level of exposure. Edwards helped do that. Thanks, Silky Pony."

Sam,
I don't know why you call people stupid or refer to their intellect,....I read the quote over and over and even if she was referring to the Gray's anatomy thing, her usage and phraseology clearly inferred that Edwards is gay....and I had to be at least a tiny bit smart to get 2 graduate degrees.....I saw it, and came to the conclusion that even if she meant what you say, it came across and is phrased in a way that connects the 2....

"her usage and phraseology clearly inferred that Edwards is gay...."

You mean implied.

But thanks for proving my point.

And maybe you should listen to the audio or watch the video.

Instead of picking up Howard Dean and the rest of the DNC's talking points.

It was a tossed off joke. Nobody thinks Edwards is gay.

And no sane person thinks Coulter is a gay-basher. Hell, a number of her stalkers on FR and elsewhere call her a fag-hag.

But let's not let consistency or rationality or humor enter into this.

As so many other brainiacs have pointed out, Coulter clearly did this with the carefully calculated intention of keeping Duncan Hunter's speech from the public.

Or selling her next book...

Or a thousand other idiotic explanations.

They will denounce Ann Coulter at the same time that the democratic candidates denounce Howard Dean as senile.

Ann's insults should be more creative than this, and she shouldn't be wasting ammo on the Breck Girl.

When Ann P!sses off a Liberal, it brings as much joy to me as when GWB P!sses off a Liberal or a Europeean.

In his case it means he has finally done something correctly.

If Howard wants to clean up America's abusive or misunderstood WORDS, he should preach to his BLACK base.

They need to drop the word Honky {in earshot of non-blacks}.

I moonlight as a Pizza driver; what follows is a worst case and true story.

Last November, I took an out-of-area delivery {another store should have catered to this "Lady"}. She had yard signs up {for dems} weeks after the election.

When I arrived at her door with her multi-pizza & pop order, a youngest answered the door. He promptly offer the Money. While I was handing him the food and beverages , she shouted "Don't give that Honky Motherf*&^#@ any f@#$%^& Money until I see the Motherf*&^%$# pizzas!"

I told the young man: "Show her the order, while I count out you change."

The Lady: "I guess this is Okay,.. Don't let that Honky &^%$#*& steal any of My F^$%*&^ change."

I'm Proud of the service I give to ALL of my pizza customers. I delight in many of my Black coworkers and bosses.

This Lady needs Mr. Dean's attention more than Republican talking heads do.

I think it's a breath of fresh air in these politically-correct "multi-cultural" (BARF!) times. She's got a lot guts, and I love her! Just remember, it's the homosexuals who are the very people who want to abolish religion out of American life.

>>Faggot (wood) (or fagot), bundle of sticks or branches

Derived from that, "fag", British slang for cigarette.
Mentioned in Van Morrison's "Blue Money" ("light up a fag") and the Kinks' "A Well Respected Man" ("and he likes his
fags the best")...

["Ann is all about herself, not conservatism. She is no more someone we want to be associated with than Pat Buchanan,"]

I love Ann Coulter's wit, style and no-holds-barred criticisms of the dimocrat party. The fact that she says what the rest of us conservatives are thinking, is no barrier to my adoration, it's the reason for it. She is the premiere conservative diva of the century, and if you don't like her, then you must be a bad person. It's simple a priori truth.

"[She is a disgrace to the party IMO."]

You are a disgrace to the party, IMO. Go ahead, insult the finest conservative voice in America, while sucking up to a baby killing, gay union loving, gun grabbing, left-wing RINO like Rudy, and tell me who's making the GOP look bad.

["Ann Coulter and her big mouth give Republicans a bad name."]

No, RINO's like Rudy, McCain, Snowe, etc give Republicans a bad name. Conservatives like Ann Coulter give the Right Wing of the Republican Party a voice in the media. What's wrong, afraid we'll lose the gay vote? Oh no, looks like San Francisco is edging toward the democrats! Ann's statement was accurate, on target, and funny. If it's misconstrued, on purpose, and you go along with that misconstruction, then you are siding with the enemy.
