I've never even heard of The Captains Quarters or Sean Hackbarth. They are clearly on the liberal side of gay issues. Regardless, it was a joke. I've heard comedians use it plenty of times. If you are going to make a nasty and unnatural sex act your banner issue then I can't see how someone else is over-the-line in simply using a funny word about it. What about freedom of speech?

Try Ronald Reagan moron.Reagan was a sensitive white male?
Or Reagan was a moron?
Or are you just using that as a pejorative? Goodness me, but you certainly aren't helping the reputation of all of your sensitive male buddies by using pejoratives.
First Ann says faggot and then you say moron. Oh, what a day this has been. I don't think I can take any more shocks such as this!

You people saying "Go Ann Go" are missing the point. Conservatives are supposed to be the grown ups. Leave the profanity spewing for no reason to the lefties.Agreed. Can't defend her here, she's an ass.

And congratulations on spelling Gilligan correctly! I didn't even know it was a challenge until I poked around a few Rudy threads. Dang! Just dang!

It was unnecessary. Unless the charges are true ... and we have no indication they are, then what is the point. It wasn't even funny!

0? we lost the senate seat in Missouri over that crap, and with it, control of the senate.Really, now? And which blogger claimed that?
And their proof is ........?
To: CardCarryingMember.VastRightWC
get back to me when you figure out how to read a poll and spot trends in an election.
who the hell was Claire McCaskill to defeat Talent in a state like Missouri.
To: oceanview
Bull. The MO seat wasn't "lost over that crap."
And I really enjoy Ann Coulter. She's a very funny woman, and "faggot" is the first thing I thought when I saw Edwards with Kerry.
Those two looked like a hooked up pair. Is it a crime to talk about it? I mean, really. Do we have to let somebody else dictate what we can say? Or have Republicans bent over for the PC Police?
Is "Breck Girl" okay with everyone? Just askin...

of course it was. it sunk Talent.
if she wants to be funny, let her get on a sitcom or do stand up. we don't need this nonsense at a issue oriented political venue.

Well, I guess I'll just have to take your word for it genius. The fact that I live in MO and so does all my family means squat, right?
Sheesh!
Ann Coulter, we could use more like you! There are a lot of people who fancy themselves political experts over here at FR, and they're afraid to say Edwards and Kerry are homosexual. The fact that it's obvious and everyone knows it doesn't bother them, either--they just don't want ANY Republican talking about it. I guess they don't have any children in school right now.

One more thing...have these people ever heard of dumb blonde jokes? Where is their outrage over those? You don't see Ann whining.

I think it's a safe thing to say that Ann Coulter likes the attention she gets from the controversies she creates. But let's play the hypothetical: what if some other notable conservative had said it? Would the blog critics have been as quick to criticize?
