Actually, that's not entirely correct. I believe Fred voted "not guilty" as to the perjury charge, but voted "guilty" to the obstruction of justice charge.

You might consider this.

If Clinton had been convicted (which I dearly hoped for and which he should have been by all rights), algore would have been president.

That would most probably have led to algore's election in 2000.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

There is no perfect candidate. I personally would have voted to throw the SOB out, but if that is the worst you can say about the man then he must be a pretty solid choice.

I look at his votes on Abortion, gun control, taxes, lifestyle issues, military/foreign policy and trade, his ability to articulate the conservative message and see a man who can WIN and govern from the right side of the political spectrum. I won't throw all that away just because he didn't vote to kick Clinton out of office. Geez talk about a single issue voter.
