They went outside their chain of command and talked to the media. Probably without all the information...jsut what they saw.

The CSM was within his right to tell them that.

I'm PAO myself and would have said the same thing to the soldiers.

Knowing as I do how loathe military members are to talk to the press, I wonder how many actually first appealed to their Congressmen. And if they did, what did said Congressman/woman do about it? Did their staff investigate or merely take the word of whatever WRAMC told them.

And, as a PAO, I'm sure you know servicemembers don't have to follow chain-of-command (although, highly recommended) when appealing to their elected officials. Sometimes military leadership forgets this.

Thank you for your reasoned responses.
Amazing how you first three are ignored while the ignorant babble on and on and on.

I have resisted the urge to comment much on the latest hit series, designed to further erode our military, but enough is enough! It astounds me that FReepers read the crap that has been written by the enemedia and swallow it whole and begin spewing nonsense. They went outside their chain of command and talked to the media.

You are correct, txradioguy. Not only did many of them go outside the chain of command, they NEVER went to the chain, choosing instead to go to the media...or at least respond when the media came to them. There are 8 or 9 people they can go to to register complaints. Did they?

Someone should ask Jeremy Duncan how many requests/reports he filed for repairs on the falling down ceiling.
Ask him if he was offered another room...or how he feels about having a roommate.
Ask him how he feels about the Commander being fired when HE was trying to get fired.

"Clinton turned the Army into a bunch of wusses. Welcome to the kinder softer Army."

This crap is the result of the above, per an officer that has been in the Army the past 14-18 years and a current wounded OIF vet residing at WR for well over a year.

They drew down the Army so much that personnel had to be replaced with civilians. No need to comment on that, I hope.

More quotes: "A few punky, whiny a$$, f---ing soldiers that are bit@&ing are causing all this! There are maybe 7 sub-standard rooms out of 100."

"Why is the General fired when no one else was? Building 18 is a company building. Why didn't the Garrison Commander or 1st Sgt. get fired instead of a General that has only been there 6 months?"
