wait a second... if the discovered tomb is genuine, then it should have performed a few miracles, like, say, striking the discovering/disturbing archaeologists blind, or visiting leprosy on them, or something of the kind. If there were no such miracles, then the tomb must be bogus.

Why are Christians so upset about this? If you are solid in your faith, who cares what people like cameron do for publicity?

One question I have yet to see be asked by anyone in the media about this story. If this tomb is the real McCoy, you would have to believe that after Jesus survived a flogging that killed many, and after he survived a crucifixion. He then went on with a normal life and married and had a child with Mary Magdalene, AND lived in Jerusalem where all the above took place in full view of the citizenry and nobody noticed and said, "Hey isn't that the guy they crucified and whose followers are running all over the place starting a religion in His name? I mean how believable is that? I mean wouldn't somebody have said. Hey this new religion is a fraud because the guy is alive and well and living in the burbs?
Well that did not happen. And 11 of the Disciples met a martyrs death. And Paul was beheaded. And Peter crucified upside down, all to perpetrate a fraud? I don't think so.
The Discovery Channel should be ashamed of themselves for putting this drivel out there.
Do they plan on telling the story of Mohammed's too?

From what I have read, this has pretty much been discredited already...by historians, theologians, archeologists. The best approach is to let it pass, and it will. It will get a lot of press for a few weeks and then be forgotten...until the awards season!

My wife and I did away with the TV more than 10 years ago and we haven't missed it.

If you really feel compelled to register your displeasure over this I would contact the ad sponsors. This really seems to resonate with media folk. Christians have done a great deal to alter the landscape of entertainment in recent years through the purse.

As for bigotry and persecution, if this is as bad as it gets - rejoice and be glad!

It's "funny" that the media drags this story out every Easter.

Wonder when they bother to start looking for Mohammed's moldy corpse and discussing it during Ramadan.

"Theories about the possibilities that Jesus survived the crucifixion abound. One current website alleges that Jesus lived, moved to India, and died and is buried there, while another claims he's buried in Japan."

Jesus did survive. But he didn't go too Japan or India. He went too his father in Heaven as I'm sure he'll point out to poor James when the time comes.
