While I agree Gore is a lying hypocrite - I don't think we should be foc8ussing on his power consumption because it detracts from the real issue we should be going right to the root of the issue- that Gore is a freaking liar and his 'research' is total crap and a lie.
He has been allowed to foist his lie on the whole world uncontested except for in a few obscure blogs and newscasts, and this is the real sin- we're losing a VERY winnable war by not getting the truth of the issue made known- but alas- we'll never be able to get it known now because the global warming ball is rolling now, and there is nothign we can do to stop this disgusting lie- we've lost this war. We're all going to pay dearly for our innaction now. The 'carbon taxes' are already being enacted in some states, and businesses are already being penalized for their carbon emissions.
The U.N is going to be collecting trillions and trillions of our dollars for somethign that we will NEVER EVER be able to change no matter what we do.

I think that Gore's hypocrisy is evidence that he doesn't really believe what he says. If he did, then he would act accordingly. If I really thought it was going to rain this afternoon, I would carry an umbrella. If instead I put the top down on my (imaginery convertible) car, it isn't too much of a stretch to say that I don't REALLY think it will rain.
If this global warming claptrap was something Gore really believed in, he would have closed up the two larger homes he owns, and would give his global warming talks by video conference rather than flying in private jets. He would have accepted his Oscar by satellite feed rather than flying to California. He might still buy carbon offsets, but he'd cut his electric and gas consumption down to at least average usage. That he hasn't done so says loudly that he doesn't even believe a word of what he is saying.
