I have shamefully compromised on big government spending and looked the other way on some political issues, but in the matters of life and liberty I am determined to stand fast. I had to compromise to support President Bush's "compassionate conservatism," but thankfully he stands in full support of life and traditional marriage and for the 2nd amendment and for tax cuts. I was mortified when he signed McCain-Feingold and signed on with Kennedy, et al, but stood by him for the long term because of his commitment to God, country and family. Hopefully, it'll be sooner rather than later that his supreme court will overturn the McCain fiasco. Also, I'm hoping the next conservative president will stand for the same American traditional values as did President Bush and that he will be an even better fiscal conservative and will be just as committed to defending the nation, even to the point of actually securing our borders.

Thank you for admitting that you feel that you compromised your principles, in order to vote for President Bush in 2000, but that was long before he actually was president and committed the "sins" you have listed. What those who were not here back then don't know, is that you fought, vociferously against "W" ever getting the nomination; for years here, claiming that you would never compromise your principles and vote for him, back then.

No candidate is perfect and all of them have flaws. It is not only justifiable to strenuously fight for ones principles, but a duty to do so. But when all is said and done, it is reprehensible to falsely personally attack, with lies, propaganda, and innuendo the candidates and their supporters, here; a site that is supposed to be dedicated to posting FACTS and whose one prominent goals, as stated by you, is to make certain that all of us work to keep as many Dems out of political office as is humanly possible.

You detest the Clintons and rightly so. So do we all. You are completely against Dems holding power. So say all of us. I assume that you still feel that way and if I am mistaken, I would like you to dissuade me of that belief.

Without rancor and without personal attacks, I and many others here, have posted facts about Rudy, to refute the lies and calumny heaped daily upon him and us.

Does that mean that all of us, his supporters and just those who haven't really picked someone to support, but still post facts about Rudy, have "compromised" all of principles and gone off into the DARK SIDE? NO ! It means that we have looked at the GOP field, have not found a Conservative who is worth supporting, so have found someone who gives us more than 1/2 a glass of what we all state clearly that we want from a president; a candidate who CAN beat any Dem thrown up against him.
