I have no one I am supporting, and am simply trying to get people to discuss things civilly (although from the looks of things, this is probably a lost cause).
I will vote for whoever gets the nomination. I am not supporting anyone in the primaries as of now, and probably won't. My primary is pretty late and I am not doing any volunteer work this go around due to my husband's schedule.
So, do you think that sort of pledge would help him and change any minds? And here is another thing I would like your opinion on...if, despite all of the opposition we see here, Rudy still gets the nomination, will we not see a further marginalization of conservatives?
I truly am interested in your opinion. Thanks!
The last two would go a long way toward satisfying me, but trust me, he is not going to promise anything like that.
As for judges, he's already blown that with his own televised remarks this month about the Second Amendment. He wouldn't know a strict constuctionist if one bit him on his bald head.
His words and deeds betray him. I simply do not believe him. He has demonstrated that he has zero respect for the constitution. His belief in liberal positions on life and liberty issues are identical to Hillary's.
Ford, Reagan and Bush I appointed judges that turned out to be flaming liberals. Bush II nominated Meier and we all know how that turned out. I would not like the chances of a truly originalist judge being nominated with Rudy in charge considering his liberal slant on a number of issues.
