The term RINO stands for :REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY; it does NOT mean anyone who who doesn't agree with every single platform plank that has ever been in the GOP platform, nor someone who isn't so far off to the right, that the majority of the party isn't in lockstep with them.

The Republican party is a "BIG TENT". It is NOT a 100% pure CONSERVATIVE PARTY and never has been; not even under the titular stewardship of Ronald Reagan.

It was Ronald Reagan who spoke about the place of compromise, in American politics. Those of us who talk about it, are the ones following Reagan's dictates and position.
