Now as for the ammo box content? Most in here understand the context and concept of it. Our leaders gave us a nation and left us the charge to preserve it and keep it free of tyranny. That was is the very reason for the second amendment. It is our right. It is a vanguard given us as citizens to make certain we never become a nation ruled by tyrants.
Yes they left it there so government could never become so empowered that by intimidation make us subjects of our leaders. That is why politicians in both parties DESPISE it so much.
