Well, it was a nice try, Al, and a worthy goal. While we have respectable differences here, we are currently being flooded by 16-year-old hee-haw geeks whose nervous systems are not yet sufficiently mature to enable them to manage their hostile and aggressive impulses. We couldn't even get past GO without one of them losing it. Sad.

It's not the differences that are troubling; it's how they are expressed. One expects differences in a primary season; it wouldn't be much of a process otherwise.

However accusations of latent liberalism and treason being dished out like candy do no good. At the end of the primary, the various factions have to be able to walk back from the campaign and forge a unified platform.

The Republicans have to be particularly mindful of this discipline as the MSM will take any perceived splits as an opportunity to hammer their candidate.
